We may not appear to be heavily involved in the latest tragedy that is facing our Beautiful Brumbies, we are certainly doing all we can. The time is now to step up and be a voice for our Brumbies because without public support the government will completely eradicate them.
We have a number of Brumbies that we are currently preparing to be re-homed and we are campaigning to raise funds for all the Brumbies we have. Our sanctuary is 100% charity based, therefore we rely on the generosity of our Brumby loving friends to assist us to keep doing the work that we do.
Keeping our old friends and helping them to survive takes and enormous amount of work we step and will be available when required. Whilst we cannot save all the Brumbies, we can do our best for the ones we have committed to and for any future rescues.
The only chance to keep herds wild is if you support the many groups working hard with petitions and plans to take a stand. There are many so I wont try to name them all, they can be found on Facebook.
Its going to be a hard fight so lets all stay focused and remember you can be a voice and you can take a stand to be heard. Get in there and help us all to change these dreadful government policies.
Sign the petitions when asked, share them, be involved in the groups without all the nastiness, just do it and keep the focus on these magnificent horses. Contribute financially with donations if you can, make a presence at a protest, make some signs, hang them on your fences, raise the Brumby awareness, write letters, emails and be heard.
Together we can WIN this fight and keep our Brumbies alive.
Cheers
Lynne
